On the evening of October 12th, a big crowd of Chinese Culture lovers flocked to China Cultural Centre in Sydney to catch a glimpse of the grand opening of Chinese Lantern and Redwood Art Exhibition.
Themed “Orient·Brilliance”, the exhibition focuses on the contemporary representation of the traditional culture of Oriental palace and aims to elaborate the effect, influence and glamour of Oriental traditional culture in the contemporary aesthetic context through the outstanding redwood furniture and royal lanterns.
In attendance for the event were H.E. Gu Xiaojie (Ambassadorial Rank), Consul General of People’s Republic of China in Sydney, Councillor Robert Kok, City of Sydney, Mr. Liu Cheng Xuan (China). President of China Cultural Media Group and Ms. Jennifer Spark, former Australia-China Cultural Relations Manager.
The ceremony was moderated by Mr. Chen Shuang, Director of China Cultural Centre (Sydney), he expressed his sincere thanks to other coorganizers and delegations from China, guests, press and media and all the friends in different circles from Australia for their support to the centre and the event.
H.E. Gu Xiaojie spoke to congratulate the commencement of the exhibition, followed by Councillor Robert Kok and Ms. Jennifer Spark, who praised the hard work and effort of the organizers of making another incredibly successful exhibition in Sydney.
Mr. Liu Cheng Xuan, as one of the co-oganizers of the event, briefly introduced the background of the exhibition and how the idea come together to form . He also extended his gratitude to all the people who have been involved and well wishes to the exhibition.
