“Hometown of Confucius · Beautiful Shandong” Held in Sydney

As one of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, on 25th September, a photography exhibition titled Hometown of Confucius·Beautiful Shandong was held at the China Cultural Centre in Sydney(CCC). More than 80 local photography enthusiasts and cultural representatives attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition featured 60 pieces of Shandong world-class intangible cultural heritage images such as Mount Thai, Ancient Canal and Qi Great Wall. The unique artistic perspective showed the audience the rich historical and cultural heritage of Shandong.

The creation of Chinese painting and Chinese calligraphy by artists from Shandong and Sydney was carried out after the opening ceremony, which helped guests to have a better understanding of Chinese traditional culture.

Funded by China National Arts Fund, and co-organized by CCC, China National Tourist Office in Sydney and Shandong Yibo International Cultural Exchange Co. Ltd., this exhibition will be on display at CCC until 7th October.
