Initiated by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, china culture centres (CCC) aim to foster friendship between China and other countries as well as to promote awareness of and appreciation for Chinese culture and art through cultural events and activities. Over the past two decades, 20 china culture centres have been established in Sydney, Paris, Malta, Mauritius, Benin, Cairo, Tokyo, Seoul, Berlin, Ulan Bator, Bangkok, Moscow, Madrid, Denmark, Mexico and Nigeria. The establishment and operation of these cultural centres mark a new development stage of cultural exchanges between China and all corners of the world.
Core Functions of CCCs
Host a variety of cultural events such as exhibitions, performances, seminars, panel discussion, film screenings etc on a regular basis.
Furnish short-terms training courses such as language classes, martial art and taichi workshops as well as traditional Chinese painting and Chinese instrument courses etc.
House a library to provide easy accessibility to the general public and to create a friendly environment for the learning of Chinese culture .
To enlighten and entertain through quality contemporary and traditional Chinese cultural content in order to strengthen bonds between China and other countries with mutual respect and ongoing partnerships.
