Bringing Chinese and Australian musicians closer together by gaining a greater understanding and appreciation of the beauty, complexity and variation of music across the regions of China.
This year, to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival and the 30th anniversary of the Chinese Garden of Friendship|Darling Harbour, we will be featuring master instrumentalists from the cradle of Chinese civilization, Henan province.
In collaboration with Sydney’s best chamber musicians, these promise to be special cross-cultural performances. Only 200 seats are available for each of the two concerts, which include light refreshments at the interval.
Hosted by the China Cultural Centre (Sydney) and Department of Culture of Henan Province, PRC, in association with the Chinese Garden of Friendship|Darling Harbour and the Chinese Chamber Music Company with musical direction by John Huie.
