Ga Yu (Lei Zhang) is a police officer who, in order to investigate the hunting of Tibetan antelope, assumes the identity of a journalist and accompanies an expedition to Kekexili – a place where the climate is cold, the air is thin and the oxygen content is extremely low. In this “no-go area” for human survival, Ga Yu witnessed a scene of human greed and the violent conflict between humans and the environment. The patrol members of antelope protection of the Tibetans were shot by poachers, and the poachers fled leaving bones of Tibetan antelope. The rangers hunted down the murderer in the harsh environment, and eventually retrieved only a portion of the Tibetan antelope pelts. On the one hand, to fight the harsh natural environment, on the other hand, with the ferocious poachers, mountain patrol members and Ga Yu faced a life and death test.
