China Cultural Centre and China National Tourist Office in Sydney present The Yangtze River Tourism Overseas Promotion Season on their official websites and social media platforms, featuring Discover the Beauty of the Yangtze River exhibition and video screenings. The online program focusing on preserving the golden waterway and promoting green development, will tell the beautiful stories of the Yangtze River, showcase its abundant tourism resources, and highlight the achievements in ecological conservation and sustainable development of the Yangtze River. The launching ceremony of the Yangtze River Tourism Overseas Promotion Season and The Yangtze River National Travel Routes has been successfully held in Yichang City of Hubei Province by the Network of International Cultural Entities, the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Yichang Municipal People’s Government.
The Yangtze River, running through 11 provinces and cities in China, including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou, has accumulated countless natural and cultural treasures. It has nurtured the vibrant Chinese civilization and fostered the poetic and picturesque values of the Chinese culture that have been passing down for thousands of years. With an aim to construct a green Yangtze River, China is building an International Golden Tourism Belt along the Yangtze River to continue to integrate the Yangtze River tourism resources and promote the high-quality cultural and tourism development in the Yangtze River basin with a brand new face of the Yangtze River. In early 2022, the Chinese government launched the comprehensive construction of the Yangtze River National Cultural Park to activate the abundant historical and cultural resources of the Yangtze River, promote the cultural significance of the Yangtze River, and explore the value of the times of the Yangtze River culture.

Discover the Beauty of the Yangtze River
The Yangtze River is China’s first 4K documentary which is focus on the Yangtze River. It is a national support project of the National Radio Television Administration, and it is made as a tribute for the 70th anniversary of China. The documentary gives a great account of the social changes and green transformation along the Yangtze River in an international narrative way. It writes the spiritual totem of those who living along the Yangtze River; it represents the vitality of the new era of the Chinese nation; it is the hardworking epic for the people of the Yangtze River.

At times the river surges and dances through canyons, while at other times it flows calmly, shimmering and sparkling. And on occasion, it illuminates cities with its “creativity”.
