Mo Sanmei finds himself dumped by his girlfriend after his release from prison. His father wants to pass on the family funeral service business, yet doubts Mo’s ability to handle it. Everything changes when a little girl, Xiaowen, storms into his shop, demanding to know where her grandmother, who is taken by his funeral procession, is heading. In the days that followed, Mo reluctantly took in Xiao Wen, a troublesome yet pitiful orphan. Through their interactions, from adversaries to a father-daughter bond, they find solace in each other’s company. After a series of mishaps, this unlikely father-daughter pair develops a special relationship, and it changes Mo’s outlook on both his job and life, prompting him to reconsider the value of being a mortician.
