Abundant with intangible cultural heritage, Hunan province is home to Han, Tujia, Miao, Dong, Yao and other ethnic minorities, who create the profound and colorful heritage with melodic folk songs, distinctive costumes and visceral dances. Over the centuries, People in Hunan have accomplished an exquisite picture scroll of intangible cultural heritage, which intertwines central plains civilization and ethnic essences. The “Amazing Hunan” intangible cultural heritage exhibition will showcase eleven traditional art and handicraft projects dating back to ancient Hunan through a variety of forms including text introduction, physical display, photographic works and multi-media presentation. Meanwhile, inheritors of Changsha palm-leaf weaving, Miao painting, Meishan papercut and Dabujiang quilting embroidery will present their brilliant skills on the spot, allowing you to get a perfect glimpse of the unique wonders.
