Chinese Youth Art Troupe Exchange Performance held in Loreto Kirribilli

Invited by China Cultural Centre (Sydney), Nanjing Little Red Flower Art Troupe arrived in Sydney girl school — Loreto Kirribilli on 2nd December, presenting a cultural exchange performance together with Australian local students.

As a public school, Nanjing Little Red Flower is specialised in dancing, singing and instrument teaching. With a rich history of 50 years, the Troupe has performed in the US, the UK, France, Germany, South Korea, Japan, etc.

“We would like to extend our warm welcome to the visiting Troupe, and express our great interest in Chinese culture”, said the student representative from Loreto Kirribilli.

The performance includes dancing, singing, woodwind instrument solo, erhu playing and so on, seeking to promote the understanding and friendship between the Australian and Chinese youths.

Well designed and arranged Chinese programs, such as Flying Butterflies, Folk Music Performance, Going Back to Mother’s Home, Facial Makeup Rap incorporated typical Chinese music instruments as reed pipe and bawu, and also exhibited the brilliance and diversity of Chinese modern culture.

A special fan dance titled Jasmine Flower, previously performed at the Chinese Spectacular at the Sydney Town Hall, was delivered by the Petite Voices choir from local school, adding much entertainment and jollity to this cultural exchange.

“We hope you enjoy our performance and once again we are very glad you could make it to our school”, said one of the performing students.

“What an outstanding performance from the Nanjing Little Red Flower Troupe, we feel so privileged to have you visit our school and perform for us”, said Ms Alison Brent, Principal of Loreto Kirribilli.

Nanjing Little Red Flower Art Troupe was also invited by Councilor Robert Kok to visit Sydney Town Hall during their short exchange, and will continue their performing tour in New Zealand afterwords.
