In June 2019, Chinese Artists Association and China Nationality Culture Foundation successfully held the first national children’s art exhibition – My People, My Country. The exhibition received nearly 80,000 submissions from young artists all over China. After experts review, the works of 781 young painters from 29 provinces of China were selected.
On December 18, China Cultural Center in Sydney and China Nationality Culture Foundation Children’s Aesthetic Education and Cultural Development Special Fund jointly cooperated and selected 30 outstanding artworks, to launch a Chinese Children’s Art Works Online Exhibition: Art Lights Up Childhood.
With a wide range of topics and interesting ideas, these exhibited works show the skill and style of contemporary Chinese children’s art creation, as well as how young artists discover, feel and express beauty. It’s also a display of children’s unlimited imagination and creativity, which reflects the future and hope of Chinese art.
It is hoped that this exhibition will further enhance the artistic exchanges between the young people of China and Australia, and promote the mutual learning of Chinese and Australian cultures.
