Poetry in Sichuan Online Exhibition

Sichuan culture is an important part of Chinese culture with a long history and striking local features. The prosperity of the Sichuan culture causes its gathering of outstanding scholars and talented people. Such historical figures as Li Bing, Zhuge Liang, Li Bai, Du Fu and Su Shi, either born in Sichuan, or made immortal achievements in Sichuan, leaving a rich cultural heritage.

“Poetry in Sichuan Online Exhibition” connects the popular Tang poems and Song poetry by Du Fu, Li Bai, Su Shi, and Chen Ziang, and introduces tourist destinations such as Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Libai Hometown, Meishan Sansu Temple, Chen Ziang’s reading platform. These places witnessed the ups and downs of the celebrities who once lived in Sichuan, carried the most real life of the ancestors admired by later generations, and highlighted the profound cultural heritage of Sichuan and the unique charm of its tourism resources. 

On October 14, China Cultural Centre in Sydney jointly launched “Poetry in Sichuan ”— four episodes of video clips with Department of Culture and Tourism of Sichuan Province. Get to know the poetic literati such as Du Fu, Li Bai, Su Shi, Chen Ziang, by walking through their former residences, and perceiving their spiritual charm.
