《影》

战乱年代，群雄并起。割据一方的沛国安于现状，一任国主沛良慨歌太平。要冲之地境州早年为强邻炎国借去，而今据而不还。沛国都督子虞前往讨伐，却中了对方大将杨苍的拖刀，重伤不愈。心有不甘的子虞暗中派出替身境州于外假扮自己，总理军政，内则使令夫人小艾襄助。真假子虞切磋战法，寻求破解杨苍刀法的绝技。而另一方面，沛良恼怒子虞私自约战杨苍，不惜将妹妹青萍嫁于杨苍之子为妾媾和。境州上空，杀戮与机谋纠缠撕裂……
　　该片讲述了一个从小就被秘密囚禁的小人物，不甘心被当成傀儡替身，在贵族的权谋游戏中苦苦求生，为了活下去而历经磨难，努力寻回自由的故事。
本片根据朱苏进的剧本《三国•荆州》改编。

主创简介：

导演：张艺谋
　张艺谋，中国“第五代导演” 的代表人物之一，北京奥运会开幕式总导演，他以执导充满浓浓中国乡土情味的电影著称，艺术特点是细节的逼真和主题的浪漫互相映照。2010年5月24日获颁美国耶鲁大学荣誉博士学位。
1986年主演第一部电影《老井》就获得影帝殊荣。1987年执导的第一部电影《红高粱》获柏林国际电影节最高奖金熊奖，这是首位中国导演获得国际电影大奖。1987年至1999年他执导的《红高粱》、《菊豆》、《大红灯笼高高挂》、《秋菊打官司》、《活着》、《一个都不能少》、《我的父亲母亲》等影片令其在国内外屡获电影奖项，并三次提名奥斯卡和五次提名金球奖。2002年后转型执导的商业片两次刷新中国电影票房纪录、四次夺得年度华语片票房冠军。
其曾任第18届东京国际电影节评委会主席和第64届威尼斯国际电影节评委会主席。 2008年担任北京奥运会开幕式和闭幕式总导演，并提名美国《时代周刊》年度人物。2016年担任中国杭州G20峰会文艺演出总导演。2019年10月1日，担任庆祝新中国成立70周年联欢活动总导演。

电影短评：

《影》是探索个人意识的禅意化武侠。《影》是水润的，仿佛是水里面长出来的，有很浓烈的江南水乡的质感。该片的叙述手法简单明确，但它还有相对深奥的伦理表达。故事叙述既有东方戏曲的基因，也有西方戏剧的方法，前半截和后半截是一静一动，前面越安静，后面越激烈。张艺谋用屏风制造出来的朦胧美，将整个故事框在了影子的灰度里，形成了一个明明很空旷，但却很逼仄的封闭空间。

Shadow

Set during China’s Three Kingdom’s era (AD 220-280). The kingdom of Pei lost the important city of Jingzhou to the kingdom of Yang after the popular and brilliant Commander Ziyu (Deng Chao) lost a duel to the infamously unbeatable Yang Cang (Hu Jun). So he trained his double named Jing (also played by Chao) to take over for the Commander if circumstances demand it, while the Commander is hiding in a secret chamber beneath the royal city, recovering from a grievous wound he sustained in the aforementioned duel with the general that resulted in the other city being lost. The only person who knows about the subterfuge is the Commander’s wife Madam (Sun Li), who quite naturally starts to develop feelings for her husband’s double.
On the other hand, the cowardly king of Pei (Zheng Kai) is enraged after discovering that Ziyu has challenged Yang Cang to a rematch without authorization and demotes Ziyu to commoner status despite the objection of other military officials. The king offers to marry his beloved sister Qingping (Guan Xiaotong) to Yang Cang’s son Yang Ping (Leo Wu) to maintain peace between the two kingdoms.
The film tells the story of a little man who has been secretly imprisoned since he was a child, unwilling to be treated as a puppet double, struggling to survive in the game of the nobles, in order to survive and go through all the hardships, trying to find freedom.

Shadow is a 2018 Chinese wuxia film directed by Zhang Yimou, the director of legendary director of Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Raise the Red Lantern.
It was screened at the 75th Venice International Film Festival, the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, and the 2018 BFI London Film Festival.
